International Symposium on Display Holography: New Perspectives of Science
ISDH is the unique event, which covers the issues of history, education, art, science and economic development in terms of display holography.
In 1982 professor Tung Jeong founded this scientific conference in the USA. Nowadays it is the largest symposium on display holography, which takes place once every three years. This year ITMO University receives key scientists and researchers on display holography in St. Petersburg.
The main goal of the symposium is not only the exchange of information but also formation of the community of interested people.
Vladimir Vasilyev, the rector of ITMO University and Sergey Stafeev, the Head of Department of Natural Sciences made the welcome address. They wished the participants efficient work and the good time in Saint Petersburg.
‘’X International Symposium on Display Holography’’ is an anniversary event. It is dedicated to the memory of its founder professor Jeong, who passed away on May 4, 2015 and to Yuri Denisyuk, the founder of image holography.
For the 5 days the participants discussed application of holograms in culture, art and modern technologies, the trends of holography, for example full-color holograms called ‘’OptoClones®’’.
The exhibition of display holography is traditionally held in the framework of the symposium.
